Our Story
Why Saudiwbas?
We built this to answer one question: what would it look like if Saudi Arabia was shown the way it actually is — not as a headline, but as a home?
The Mission
Honest storytelling for an extraordinary place
Saudi Arabia has been one of the world's most misunderstood countries for decades. The world knew the oil, the desert, the headlines — but not the people, the poetry, the food, the ancient cities, the coastlines, or the quiet generosity that defines daily life here. Saudiwbas exists to change that. We are a visual showcase built for two audiences at once: the international traveller who has never considered Saudi Arabia as a destination, and the Saudi who wants to see their own country reflected with pride and accuracy. We do not simplify. We do not sensationalise. We show.
What we stand for
Our principles
Authenticity
Every image, every word, every destination on this site has been chosen because it is real. We do not use stock clichés or recycled tropes. Saudi Arabia is specific — and we treat it that way.
Depth over surface
A country of 5,000 years of history cannot be summarised in a carousel. We go deeper — into the archaeology, the oral traditions, the regional differences, the living culture that most travel content ignores.
Bilingual by design
This site exists in Arabic and English not as a translation exercise, but as a statement. Saudi Arabia belongs to Saudis first. International visitors are welcome guests. Both deserve the full experience.
Radical welcome
The Arabian tradition of karam — generosity to the guest — is the spirit behind everything here. You are not a tourist to be processed. You are a guest to be honoured.
Mansoor Hassan Ali built Saudiwbas out of a conviction that his country deserved better storytelling. Born and raised in the Kingdom, he has spent years watching Saudi Arabia be reduced to a single narrative — and decided to offer another one. Saudiwbas is his answer: a platform built with care, built bilingually, and built to last.
"I wanted to build something that a Saudi grandmother and a first-time foreign visitor could both look at and feel — yes, this is real."
